Inside info Katowice
"Do I know Katowice? I was born there!
It is the ugliest and most disgusting city in Poland. It is famous for its former coal mines, heavy and chemical industry as well as the highest rate of people suffering from cancer in the country. Three city in this region were called the "triangle of death" because it had the highest rate of dead-born or malformed children and the lowest life expectancy.
Of course, this is not as dramatic nowadays as it used to be, but it is still one of the most untouristy places in Poland. So if you want to take pictures of ugly houses and deserted factories, that's the place to be!"
